Arijit Singh Love Story

Singer Arijit Singh is famous for his melodious and soulful songs. The star started his singing journey after participating in ‘fame Gurukul’ and became a runner-up of the show.  He later got featured in the show ’10 ke 10 le gye dil’ and came out as the winner. The singer ruled the industry after winning our hearts with Aashiqui 2 songs and became the modern day singing icon of India.



Arijit fallen in love with a girl in his neighbourhood at his hometown Jiaganj when the singer was in high school. Both of them were of same age. The girl belonged to a traditional zaminder family whose ancestors migrated from Bundelkhand to Bengal, her grand-father was titled as RaiBahadur and her name was Koyel Singh.




This was the girl who called Arijit when he was in Fame Gurukul and whom Arijit wanted to be his life partner as he admitted in the days in Fame. Arijit started struggling in Mumbai and his cute, fair, dimpled girl friend waited for him at Jiaganj. When Arijit prospered,both the lovers tied the knot in court marriage. But things were not meant to be happily ever after. Arijit met an elderly divorcee Bengali woman(also from Jiaganj) by this time and fallen in love with her. This ordinary lady had nothing attractive compared to Koyel Singh. But both were a namesake.



Her name also was Koyel, Koyel Roy. She had a little kid from her previous marriage. The singer fallen in love with this lady and determined to get divorce from his previous wife. After lots of ups and downs Arijit got divorce and remarried his lady love, Koyel Roy who became now Koyel Singh by her husband’s surname. The first wife Koyel was remarried and now known as Koyel Paul Sinha and is mother to a beautiful daughter. Arijit has a son of his own with his second wife other than his wife’s son from her first marriage. Arijit’s second wife Koyel Roy Singh used to be a primary school teacher before she was married to Arijit. She is now settled in Mumbai. Arijit’s first wife Koyel Paul Sinha is a photographer and lives in Howrah. Both the couples are known to be married happily.
